5) Time: Look for photographers who are more interested in telling your story than clocking in and clocking out. For instance, you will see photographers offering two or four hours of service for your wedding. If you are on an extremely tight budget, this may be all you can afford.

I recommend you look for a photographer who is willing to be there for you throughout your entire experience. Time is important because chemistry with your photographer is vital in making good pictures. You should be comfortable around your photographer and to have confidence that everyone else will be too. Your photographer should be in the flow of the day.
The best pictures are made when you, your spouse and family become at ease and unaware of the click of the shutter.
HINT: If a photographer has package deals that target time, you will most likely get what you pay for. Do not expect the same service or quality from a couple hours of shooting as you would from a documentary photojournalist telling the story of your day.
