7) Emotion: The most powerful pictures evoke an emotion: anticipation, joy, love, optimism, trust, surprise and hope are some of the emotions you want to think of while looking at a photographer’s work.

Ask yourselves, “Are they capturing the spirit of the day?” Or are they just making a few pretty pictures and a lot of bad ones.

HINT: Dig deeper than the select gallery of images, which only consist of one or two pictures from each client.
